As the name suggests this place in Altoona Ks is all about Mountain Oysters. Sit back and enjoy spending time with friends while we make the 90 mile trek from Wichita East to Altoona. Known for their Mountain oysters and Frog legs they also have great pork tenders, chicken fried steak, and burgers. The best part is the most expensive item on the menu is $7.95 and that's for a basket of nuts! After finishing up there we'll make a stop in Neodeshe at Bumpy's bar or go through Fredonia to visit the White buffalo saloon and Al Key's bar and grill. Have you gone on the Prairie Nut Hut Tour and loved it? If so, this is a similar trip. We will take off from wherever you choose and head WEST!!! With stops at Hank is Wiser Brewery in Cheney, the Road Kill Cafe in Bentley and the Keg in Colwich you will definately have a great time and most likely meet what we choose to call "characters" along the way. There are several smaller bars along the way we can stop at such as Little Bear in Andale and the other place in Garden Plain. Yes the name actually is "other place"
Pricing for these trips are the same as the Party Package. This is based on 5 hours. Start as early as Saturday afternoon or wait until 9pm to start. It's up to you. Located in Whitewater, KS, Grace Hill Winery is the perfect place to take in the iconic Kansas Landscape while enjoying some fine locally grown and produced wine. Take the Unified Party Bus out to their facility for a free tasting which includes eight small glasses of Grace Hill Wine. The package price of $200 plus transportation includes heavy hors d'oeuvres which are paired with the wine along with a description from the wine maker on how each wine was crafted. Also included is an in depth tour of the vineyard and winery giving you a history of the land as well as an education into how wine is made. Plan on spending an hour an a half at the winery. Let's take a trip through the beautiful Flint Hills to Cottonwood Falls to dine at the Grand Central Hotel. Built in 1884 and remodeled in 1995 this beautiful restaurant and hotel has been given the 4 diamond award by AAA. Upon arrival of Cottonwood we'll drive past the longest continually operating courthouse in Kansas, which was built in 1873. This beautiful historic Chase County Courthouse has been recently remodeled. There are many great shops to visit on Main street while we're there. If Ivan drives this trip himself, and you have some extra time, ask him to take you though the flint hills and show you around. Teter rock is one of the most beautiful sights to see in Kansas along with several amazing homes along the way. Expect to spend between 15 and 30 dollars a meal plus drinks and gratuity.
